Marissa’s diverse civil practice is nationwide in scope and includes the defense of personal injury claims as well as commercial disputes. Her representative clients include transportation and elevator and escalator companies for whom she defends wrongful death, personal injury, property damage, and commercial claims.
Marissa joined Ansa Assuncao in October 2016 after completing her one-year judicial clerkship with the Legal Research Office of the Connecticut Superior Court. While clerking, she had the opportunity to research and draft decisions for many of the state’s Superior Court Judges on a wide variety of civil, criminal, and family law issues. Marissa developed her litigation skills during law school while interning with the United States Attorneys’ Office, District of Connecticut.
Prior to law school, Marissa worked in the advertising industry, obtaining broadcast clearance for corporate clients in addition to facilitating the scheduling of radio and television commercials nationwide.
